Man Taped To Plane Seat After Allegedly Groping Assaulting Flight Attendant

A 22-year-old Ohio man was duct-taped to his seat after harassing and fighting with flight attendants during a Frontier Airlines flight from Philly to Miami.

Authorities say the passenger, Maxwell Berry, groped two female flight attendants, then punched a male flight attendant in the face. He also emerged from the bathroom without a shirt after spilling a drink.

Berry remained taped to his seat until police boarded the plane to arrest him.

He's charged with three counts of battery.

Frontier Airlines issued the following statement:

"During a flight from Philadelphia to Miami on July 31, a passenger made inappropriate physical contact with a flight attendant and subsequently physically assaulted another flight attendant. As a result, the passenger needed to be restrained until the flight landed in Miami and law enforcement arrived. The flight attendants will be, as required in such circumstances, relieved of flying pending completion of investigation of the events."
